We have previously provided information about workshops offered by the City of San Juan Capistrano to residents who have questions about City water rates and related issues. Tonight offers residents an opportunity to hear a different perspective on the water rate structure. Tonight, the Capistrano Taxpayers Association (CTA) will host its own water rate information session. The CTA is the group that has been litigating against the City alleging that San Juan Capistrano’s water rate structure is invalid and in violation of Prop 218 and the California Constitution. The CTA forum will provide an update on that litigation and will also discuss the upcoming San Juan City Council election. The session is scheduled tonight, June 5th, from 7-9 PM at Capistrano Community Church, located at 27121 Calle Arroyo.
