Two Stories Driving Record Traffic

Sometimes we are not surprised when a particular topic drives a lot of traffic, and sometimes we are. Both the most recent Ladera Ranch robbery and the Talega doll dropper stories are driving traffic to our site at record high numbers. What’s interesting is that previous stories about robberies in Ladera Ranch have not resulted [...]

Rancho Ortega Article About Water Usage Picked Up by California Water Alert

Our recent article about California water usage during the drought was picked up by the statewide California Water Alert. If you are interested in more information about California’s water challenges (and the associated politics), the California Water Alert is a good resource to bookmark.

Hang in There!

We just wanted to take a moment to let you know that real life has the audacity to interfere with our online alter ego this week. It’s all good, but we won’t have much time to blog. Look for us to be back in the saddle next week. And as always, thank you for reading!

That may not be much by internet standards, but it’s a little bit humbling to think that our writings and musings have been viewed over 100,000 times. Don Juan Ortega strongly denies any suggestion that he [...]

We had nearly 400 unique readers on the site yesterday. More importantly, they weren’t all referred by a single event or from a single source. Facebook [...]

Consider Following “The Real RSM” on Facebook

We’ve been following a Rancho Santa Margarita-specific Facebook page that calls itself “The Real RSM” lately. It’s relatively recent, but has been updating frequently and seems to have a similar mission to our own. In a recent status update, they say:

Friends, the local perspective of “RSM Patch” is apparently gone. We are hoping that [...]

Rancho Ortega in Finland

Apparently, somewhere in Finland, an internet bulletin board is vigorously debating something to do with our August 2012 article: Calling a Bottom in Ladera Ranch Home Prices. That article has been viewed dozens of times in the last few days, all resulting from the same Finnish message board. Here’s the link. Go figure.

EDIT: Curisotity [...]
