Apparently, a small airplane used the 241 toll road on Sunday to make an emergency landing. The RSM Patch has a short story. There were no injuries on the ground or in the plane, which is good. But it did get us thinking. On the one hand, the OC Great Park (perhaps it should be called the OC Great Pocket Park, due to its diminution in size) killed any chance of building a true international airport in Orange County. On the other hand, the toll roads are underused and in dire financial straits. Maybe we can convert the 241 to a runway and its a win-win for all of us? /sarcasm.
