The Singing Pumpkin of Rancho Santa Margarita

We can’t speak for their neighbors, but one small but entertaining Halloween tradition in South County is the singing pumpkin at 8 Talega in Rancho Santa Margarita.  (They go all-out at Christmas, too, and have a Facebook page devoted to their decorating!)  The home features an automated light show with over 1000 channels of light and the famous singing pumpkin (with his three new friends Moe, Zane and Max) performing a medley of six Halloween songs:

This is Halloween: Nightmare Before Christmas
Grim Grinning Ghosts: Haunted Mansion
Beetlejuice Theme: Beetlejuice
Thriller: Michael Jackson
Time Warp: Rocky Horror Picture Show
Adams Family Theme: Adams Family

If you can’t make it in person, below is a teaser of this year’s light and music show:

The show runs every half hour from 7 PM until 10 PM on Thursdays through Sundays, and the entire week of Halloween.  Below is a map of the location:

Stay tuned to our blog for more local Halloween events and attractions.  Happy haunting!
