Meet the Candidates for San Juan Capistrano City Council; Save the Date for a Candidate Debate

We seem to be in a politics state of mind here this week.  In that spirit, we encourage our San Juan Capistrano friends to attend one or both of these opportunities to get to know the candidates for San Juan Capistrano City Council.

  • Tomorrow, the San Juan Capistrano Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a candidate “meet and greet” from 5 – 7 PM at the Sundried Tomato Cafe.   RSVPs are required at
  • On October 29, 2012, the San Juan Capistrano Patch will sponsor a candidate debate at 6 PM at the San Juan Capistrano Community Center.
We will have more thoughts on this and other local races in the weeks ahead, but wanted to make our readers aware of these opportunities to meet and perhaps question the candidates.  This is particularly important in San Juan Capistrano which is facing such significant and daunting challenges in the coming years on subjects such a crime, schools, traffic, water and the downtown redevelopment plan.
