Tenth Annual Battle of the Mariachis Tomorrow at the Mission

If you can make it, you really need to attend the Tenth Annual Battle of the Mariachis tomorrow at Mission San Juan Capistrano.  It is an amazing day filled with great music from some really talented musicians, all surrounded by the beautiful and historic Mission grounds.  According to Mission San Juan Capistrano:

Mission San Juan Capistrano, with the generous support of the Thomas J. and Erma Jean Tracy Family Foundation, is proud to present the Tenth Annual Battle of the Mariachis Festival on Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Join us in the beautiful Mission Courtyard for this highly-anticipated celebration of talent, interpretation and inspiration of Mariachi music.

Reserved tables have long been sold out, but general admission tickets are still available.  Ticket prices are $15 for adults, $6 for children and free for members of the Mission Preservation Society.  More details are available on the flyer below:

According to the Mission website:

This exciting day features live music performances by mariachi groups from across Southern California and beyond as they compete on stage for cash prizes before a panel of distinguished judges. Festival highlights also include: ringing of the historic Mission bells, a special performance of the National Anthem, performances by Ballet Folklorico de San Juan Capistrano, bilingual marionette shows and exhibition performances by local Capistrano Community Mariachi Program. Don’t miss this year’s special tenth annual celebration!
