“What was that?” Camp Pendleton Explosives Training Scheduled This Week

The Camp Pendleton Marines are scheduled to conduct anti-mine explosives training this week, which will result in periodic explosions that may be heard as much as 50 miles away.  From the City News Service, via the SJC Patch:

The training involving the detonation of 1,750 pounds of linked C-4 explosives is scheduled to continue daily through Friday, according to Pendleton’s public affairs office. ¬†Also on Friday, Marines are scheduled to conduct mortar fire training from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
