Thank you to all of our readers, new and old. Yesterday was the second highest traffic day in our existence and part of a month-long upward trend in readership. We had nearly 400 unique readers on the site yesterday. More importantly, they weren’t all referred by a single event or from a single source. Facebook was the largest referral source outside of the search engines, and it only accounted for about 25 visitors. For the most part, you all appear to local readers who found us more or less independently. Besides our home page, the most popular articles yesterday (with none accounting for more than 8% of the total traffic) were about Bill Craycraft, the La Pata Ground Breaking, Rancho Capistrano Winery’s Grand Opening, Planning Area 2 and the most popular article we ever wrote, which is always one of our most-read articles nearly every day, the Ghosts of Black Star Canyon. We’ll have to do a follow up to that one this October.
Thank you to our regular readers and welcome to the new ones. Please feel free to comment or email us with any questions, comments or suggestions.
