Why the Sudden Interest in the Ghosts of Black Star Canyon?

Last Halloween we did a fun little series on the top 10 most haunted spots in Orange County.  It has been one of our more popular items, and even today — nearly a year later — those articles are always among the day’s most highly trafficked.  Of the ten, our article about Black Star Canyon is without question the most popular, and much of the interest in our “Haunted Orange County” articles comes from Facebook.  Here is the article where we ranked Black Star as the second most haunted place in Orange County.  For some reason, traffic to our Black Star Canyon article has exploded today.  Facebook alone accounted for over 200 visitors to that article by lunchtime, with an additional 100 or more coming via various search engines.  We’re trying to figure out why the sudden interest in the ghosts of Black Star Canyon, but welcome!

Final tally from yesterday was over 400 visitors to the Black Star Canyon ghost article alone. Not surprisingly, the other nine haunted Orange County articles got a lot of attention, too. Welcome, ghost hunters, to the Rancho Ortega Blog!
