South Orange County’s 4th of July Fireworks Displays

Looking for a fireworks show near you?  The Los Alamitos Patch has the roundup of some of this weekend’s big shows.  In addition, below is a list of some of the South County fireworks displays:

San Juan Capistrano

Festivities begin at 3:00 p.m. with mechanical rides, bounce houses, activities for the kids, food, exhibits, and a beer garden. A band will perform live on stage at 6:00 p.m. While there is no cost to enter the park, tickets for rides and bounce houses may be purchased on site. The evening culminates with a spectacular choreographed fireworks show. There will be several vendors selling traditional fare during the popular holiday event and a free petting zoo sponsored by Farmers & Merchants Bank. Bring the entire family for a day of fun!

Street parking is available along Camino del Avion with additional parking in the Sports Park Complex. No personal fireworks or barbecues will be permitted. Bicyclists attending the event are asked to walk bikes through the grounds for the safety of everyone.

The San Juan Capistrano Sports Park is at 25925 Camino del Avion.

Dana Point

The City of Dana Point, The Dana Point Harbor Association and its sponsors are proud to present a July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza. This year’s show is anticipated to be one of the largest celebrations in Orange County. You can view it from virtually anywhere in Dana Point Harbor. Two of the most popular locations are Heritage Park and Lantern Bay Park. Both parks are located on the cliffs above Dana Point Harbor. You can also view it from many of our restaurants and areas within the Harbor, including the Island area, the bridge, Baby Beach, the wharf and off Puerto Place.

Dana Point and Laguna Niguel residents can take in the fireworks at Laguna Niguel Regional Park at 9 PM, and there is a private fireworks show in Lake Forest at the Sun and Sail Club, also at 9 PM.   Ladera Ranch has a 4th of July parade and celebration, including a fireworks display for residents.  Fireworks will occur at Founder’s Park at 9 PM.  More information is available on Ladera Life.

Wherever you may be, have a safe and enjoyable 4th of July!
