Interested in Running for the Ladera Ranch Civic Council?

We’ve been talking a lot about the Ladera Ranch Civic Council this week, and in particular the role it is seeking in discussions about future cityhood.  Perhaps you are thinking that the Civic Council is an important organization and one in which you’d like to be involved?

First, if you haven’t already, join the Civic Council.  Membership is open to residents and business owners of Ladera Ranch who are at least 18 years of age.  The registration page is here.  Attend the meetings (the next one is scheduled for June 24th) and vote in the elections.  Make sure the Council represents your interests.

Second, if you want to be more involved in Ladera Ranch governance, consider running for the Civic Council.  Candidate applications are due by July 19th.  From the Civic Council:

Do you want to serve on the Ladera Ranch Civic Council?

The Council is seeking civic minded individuals who want to serve our community with a two-year term on the Ladera Ranch Civic Council. Please submit you candidate statement application to by Friday, July 19th. September elections are planned for three (3) of the seven (7) Council seats.

The Ladera Ranch Civic Council discusses and provides input on: planning and land use, public safety, public works, cityhood, and other municipal related services. The Council meets twice per month on Monday nights.

Qualified applicants must submit a candidate statement, sign a certification of eligibility, and conflict of interest statement as well as an Ethics Statement.
