Patch allows users to self-publish a blog, and we’re excited about a new one. Eric Bergstrom has launched an “out on the town” video series called “Steppin’ Out” and we think it’s a great idea. South County has an abundance of dining and entertainment options, and anything that helps draw attention to the culture and cuisine of this area is a welcome contribution. Kudos to Eric for starting the blog, and to the Patch for hosting and supporting it.
We couldn’t think of a more appropriate location for the first episode of Steppin’ Out than Harlow’s Fine Cuisine and Crafted Cocktails. Since before it opened, we have been hearing buzz about Harlow’s. According to the Patch:
With her 23 years experience in the restaurant business and party planning, San Juan Capistrano resident Bonnie Harlow Kingston is opening her first restaurant and bar with whimsical dining rooms which feature house favorites and comfort foods with modern infusions.
Offering live music, hand-crafted cocktails and an innovative menu featuring local and seasonal ingredients, Harlow’s is the type of place you’d expect to find in Los Angeles or Manhattan. We love that she’s here in San Juan! In addition, its prohibition-era speakeasy theme and interior decor inspired by great works of literature make for a unique dining experience. Wonder no more about where to take those hard to please, been there/done that out-of-town guests for dinner! We wish Harlow’s nothing but success, and we thank Eric and Patch for highlighting businesses like Harlow’s in South Orange County. We look forward to future episodes of “Steppin’ Out.”

Harlow’s is located in Marbella Plaza at 31111 Rancho Viejo Road in San Juan Capistrano. Visit them on the web here. Also, make sure to “Like” Harlow’s on Facebook and follow Harlow’s on Twitter. I won’t spoil the fun, but the folks at Harlow’s know how to do social media right.
