First, someone was tampering with the mail. Now, they are burglarizing cars. Is it just us, or is crime on the rise in Ladera Ranch?
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department would like to make residents of Ladera Ranch aware of a series recent incidents involving thefts from unlocked cars.
On Wednesday, January 23, 2013, deputies were dispatched to the Winfield, Calm Creek Circle, Skywood, Winslow and Hempstead Streets. Nine residents reported their unlocked cars had been opened and iPods, iPads, lap top computers, gift cards, cash and wallets were stolen. Residents are strongly encouraged not to leave valuables in the cars and to lock their cars when left unattended.
